Compatibility & setup

Which coffee makers are compatible with Savepod?
The Universal Ring works with many K-Cup® compatible brewers, including listed 1-needle and 5-needle MultiStream models. Examples include K-Classic, K-Mini, K-Mini Plus, K-Slim, K-Duo, K-Select, K-Elite, and K-Express.

It does not fit Nespresso, K-Crema, K-Mini Mate, K-155 Commercial, or 3-needle Ninja brewers. Similar model names can mean different machines—check your exact model before ordering.

Does Savepod work with 5-needle Supreme and MultiStream brewers?
Yes—the Universal Ring works with compatible Supreme and MultiStream brewers. Savepod bundles include two Universal Rings. Check your exact model in our compatibility guide.
My brewer won’t close. What should I do?
Some K-Express, K-Mini, and other newer models need an adjustment. Don’t force the handle closed. Watch the model-specific fix below, or contact us if you’re unsure.

Should I remove the silicone plugs from the Universal Ring?
No. Leave the silicone plugs in place and use the Universal Ring as supplied, whether your compatible brewer has one or five upper needles.

Using your Savepod

Is Savepod a coffee brewer?
No. Savepod helps you make your own coffee pods to use in a compatible brewer. The PodMaker keeps your pod-making supplies together beside your coffee machine.
What coffee can I use?
Use your favorite ground coffee. Most pre-ground coffees work well; a medium grind is a good starting point.
How much coffee does the Original’s drawer hold?
The Savepod Original’s drawer holds approximately 200 grams of ground coffee—enough for about 18 cups, depending on how much you use per brew. An airtight seal helps keep the coffee fresh.
How many filters fit in the dispenser?
The filter dispenser holds one full stack of 50 filters.

How is Savepod different from other reusable pods?
Savepod uses a reusable ring with a disposable paper filter. After brewing, let the ring cool, then open it and release the used filter and grounds. Keep the ring for your next cup.
What colors are available?
Savepod Original comes in Slate Black and Cool White. Check the product page for current availability.

How much do filters cost?
Approximately 11¢–14¢ per filter, depending on the quantity and whether you choose auto-delivery. Check the current product listing for exact pricing. Coffee is purchased separately.
Are Savepod filters compostable?
Yes. Savepod paper filters are compostable. Compost the used filter and coffee grounds where accepted, following your local composting guidance. Keep and reuse the ring.

Savings & impact

How many plastic pods could I avoid?
Each Savepod brew that replaces a single-use plastic pod means one fewer plastic pod used.

For example, three people drinking two cups each per day would replace 2,190 pods per year: 6 cups × 365 days. Your total depends on your coffee routine.

How much money could I save?
Savings depend on your coffee, filter costs, and the price of the pods you replace.

If you save 40¢–50¢ per cup and brew six cups a day, that adds up to approximately $876–$1,095 per year. This is an illustration, not a guaranteed saving, and excludes the initial cost of your Savepod setup.

Orders & returns

What is your return policy?
You can return products within 14 days of receiving them. You’re responsible for return shipping.

For help starting a return, email hey@savepods.com.

Is Savepod right for me?
Savepod may be a good fit if you want to choose your own ground coffee, replace single-use plastic pods, and use a paper filter for cleanup. You’ll fill a fresh pod for each cup, so check that this routine—and your brewer’s compatibility—works for you.
